What is Binkil?
We are a fragrance-led bin cleaning company on a mission to transform an overlooked industry into a modern, glamorous subscription service households genuinely love.
When do you come to clean my general waste bin?
We aim to clean it on the same day it’s been emptied. If that’s not possible, we’ll usually be there the following day.
How often do you clean my bins?
We clean your general waste bin every 4 weeks, and your recycling, garden, and food waste bins whenever you need them cleaned, at no extra cost. Just give us a call and we’ll take care of the rest.
How do I pay for my bin cleaning?
It works like a simple subscription – similar to a TV or music streaming service. You can pay monthly, every 6 months, or annually using your debit or credit card. There’s no scary direct debit setup and no need to share your sort code or account number.
Why can’t I pay for my bin cleaning with cash?
We know that for some people ‘cash is king’ but we’re a card-only service. Handling cash would slow our team down and create safety and insurance issues while they’re out on the job. This way, everything stays quick, secure, and hassle-free.
How long does it take for you to clean my bin?
Just a few minutes. We thoroughly clean, sanitise and beautifully fragrance your bin using carefully measured Zoflora disinfectant, leaving it smelling fresh and hygienic. Once finished, we return your bin neatly back to its original place.
Am I tied into a contract?
There is a three month minimum commitment for all new customers. Your first month is free and then your second and third are chargable. After that, you’re free to cancel at any time though we’d be sad to see you go. All we ask is that you give us 30 days’ notice. This is because we plan our schedules and routes in advance.
Which areas do you cover?
We service almost all of Northumberland and Tyne and Wear. Use our postcode checker to see if we’re in your area. If you’re outside the area, it’s still worthwhile getting in touch as we may be able to accommodate you, or your street may be in our future plans.
How do I claim my first month free and my free bottle of Zoflora?
Your first month is free. No strings attached. Once you’ve been with Binkil for three months, we’ll deliver your free Zoflora during one of our visits.
Is Zoflora safe for pets?
Zoflora is safe to use around pets and it’s trusted by the mammies and daddies of fur babies across the country. We make sure it’s properly diluted and used safely – all we ask is that you ensure your bin is dry before letting your beloved anywhere near it.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Call us Monday-Friday between 9am and 5.30pm or email us. If it’s something we’ve done, please let us know as we’d like the opportunity to make amends.
How do I change my card details?
Just log into your account or drop us a message. Head to your account settings to update your details. Easy peasy.
What happens if I change address?
If you move, there’s a good chance we can continue servicing your new address. Simply update your details in your account and we’ll let you know if you’re still within our service area. If we’re not, we’ll cancel your subscription – maybe we’ll cross paths in your new home soon.
